MYSTERIES OF PLUM ISLAND

is a fictional and factual documentation of a barrier reef forged in the crucible of climate change and threatened by it now. It is a visual record of a place that will cease to exist. It consists of photographs of select beach detritus and the landscape printed as palladium or salted paper prints made using sea water, archival inkjet prints, video clips, and an organized collection of found objects. This series was awarded first place series in the Nature category of the 13th Julia Margaret Cameron Awards and selected images exhibited at Gallery Foto Nostrum, Barcelona, Spain as part of the JMC winners’ exhibition.
