Ziatype Workshop at Digital Silver Imaging

I will be returning to Digital Silver Imaging on Saturday May 13th for another Ziatype palladium printing workshop. This process is easy to grasp and extremely variable, with tweaks to the chemistry used in the sensitizer yielding spectacular shifts in color and tone. If you have ever had an interest in learning platinum or palladium printing, this workshop is a great way to get your feet wet. This will be open to newbies and to those who have taken my previous workshop and would like to build on that experience. Spots are filling up---check Digital Silver's website for sign up and DM me if you have questions!

Photos from Longwood!

Here are a few pics from the Longwood workshop. The highlight for me was donning gaiters and getting to wade into the famous water gardens to gather materials for the workshop! I was plant-geeking out so hard! Sometimes vantage point is what it's all about and I'll never have this one again, so I have posted a photo. Many thanks to Matt Ross, Longwood Continuing Education coordinator for all the help and support. The class participants made some amazing images, of which these are just a few. What a privilege and honor to be there!

Next up---cyanotyping at Longwood Gardens!

It's been a really busy summer teaching and running workshops, and all my students, youths and adults, have turned out some amazing work! Next on the agenda is the workshop in cyanotype process at Longwood Gardens outside Philadelphia in Kennett Square, PA. We will be using materials from the famous water gardens to make images in the historic cyanotype printing method. This one promises to be really fun!
